43South worked with the lead engineering contractor and Principal KDIC to specify and supply pumps converting the open race channels to a pressurised pipe scheme.

The final specification was to supply the following Pentair Southern Cross Pumps.

16x Long Coupled ISO Sovereign pumps 7.5-132kW

23x Vertical Multistage pump 5.5-75kW

All pumps were supplied with WEG W22 high efficiency motors and performance tested prior to dispatch and installation.

Kurow Duntroon Irrigation Company has 4000 hectares currently allocated with a max design flow rate of 2750 liters per second supplied from the Waitaki dam.
